Executive Summary: Complete Client-Side Isolation
ConvertBench is built from the ground up to never transmit, log, or store your files. When you drop or select a file to convert, compress, or edit, that file is loaded solely into your local browser window's volatile RAM. All transformation computations are carried out by your own CPU/GPU via JavaScript and WebAssembly. At no point does your file data travel over the network to any server owned or operated by ConvertBench.
1. Information We Do NOT Collect
- Your File Data: We do not collect, view, copy, or retain any images, documents, PDFs, or data files you interact with on ConvertBench.
- Personal Identifiable Information (PII): We do not require account creation, logins, passwords, email addresses, or phone numbers to use any of our conversion tools.
2. In-Memory Session Carry-Forward
To provide a seamless workflow (e.g., converting a PNG to JPG and then immediately compressing it), ConvertBench allows you to carry an active file across pages. This state is maintained exclusively in temporary browser tab memory (React Context). It is never sent to a server, never stored in persistent browser storage like localStorage or cookies, and is automatically destroyed whenever you close the browser tab.
3. Analytics and Performance Monitoring
We use privacy-friendly analytics (such as Vercel Analytics) to aggregate anonymous usage data (such as page views, browser type, and aggregate tool usage frequency). This data helps us understand which conversion tools are most popular and identify rendering bugs. No file names, file contents, or identifying IP logs are collected.
4. Advertising & Google AdSense
ConvertBench is supported by advertising via partners such as Google AdSense. Google and other third-party vendors may use cookies to serve ads based on prior visits to this or other websites. You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google's Ads Settings (adssettings.google.com) or aboutads.info.
